David Deperthes, PhD – CEO and President Main founder of Med Discovery, Dr. Deperthes obtained his PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology and a bachelor in Biochemistry from Laval University in Canada, in 1996 and 1992 respectively, and a University Degree in Technology (DUT) Biological and Biochemical Analysis from Bourgogne University in 1990. Discoverer of a new prostate cancer marker, the kallikrein hK2 with Prof. Rolland R. Tremblay, he specialized in the development of new molecules for tumor targeting with J.P. Mach at ISREC in Lausanne. In 2000 he created the Urology Research Unit at CHUV, Lausanne, Switzerland.
Jean-Marc Séquier, Novartis Pharma AG - Global BD&L, Head of Partnering / Out-Licensing PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Paris and MBA from IMD Lausanne. More than 15 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Started his career in Merck's Neuroscience Research Centre in the UK and move into Drug Development/Project Management at Roche in Switzerland. With Novartis since 1995 first in Project Management, contributing to various projects in the nervous system and oncology fields and then in Business Development and Licensing. Responsible since 2005 for out-licensing/partnering of Novartis' development and marketed products.

In 2003, she also obtained an executive MBA from University of Quebec at Montreal (UQAM). Prior joining the Solidarity Fund QFL as Senior Advisor, Investments, Life Sciences group in September 2001, Dr. Maion has worked as a Technology Transfer Agent at UQAM and within the Commercial Operations and the Clinical Research Group at GlaxoWellcome Inc.
