Serpin Substrate Kits

Med Discovery is offering active human recombinant protease substrate proteins for biochemical in vitro assays. Serpins (Serine protease inhibitors) are natural protease inhibitors. Their specificity towards proteases is mainly defined by the so called 'reactive site loop' (RSL), a domain within the serpin protein serving as specific substrate bait for the protease. We introduced a ten amino acid RSL region (P6-P4') of different serpin proteins in our RFPS system to create substrates mimicking the reactive site region of these serpins.

MD-RFPS-02 Serpin Substrate Kit

The kit contains 50 µg of five serpin substrates chosen by the customer from following list plus 50 µg of the control substrate CS containing a poly-glycine linker region resistant against most proteases. Proteins are prepared from E. coli. The purity as determined by SDS-PAGE and Western Blot is >98%. Supplied in solid lyophilized form.
